As a guide to motorists, Howard F. Hobbs and the Mohawk Rubber Company published a driving guide to the Victory Highway. The guide has no date, although it can be placed between 1926 and 1936. The guide mentions Route 40N east of Colby, Kansas. That northern alternative route only existed between those two dates.
