Hicksite Friends Meetinghouse, 1150 North A Street. This old Quaker meetinghouse houses the Wayne County Historical Society. Well worth a visit. Following the terrible gas explosion in Richmond in 1968, Main Street (Route 40) was closed and a pedestrian mall was built. Route 40 was realigned on North A Street for westbound traffic and on South A Street for eastbound traffic. Unfortunately, the pedestrian mall idea proved to be awful from a business perspective. |

Coffee Pot Restaurant. The Coffee Pot was one of the finest examples of programatic architecture along Route 40. Unfortunately, the coffee pot came down years ago, leaving the building unadorned. A few years later, the Coffee Pot restaurant burned down. |
