One Jesse Tomlinson formerly owned 'Little Meadows' and kept a tavern on the old Braddock Road. Then the National Road was opened he built a new house, which is located at the foot of Meadow Mountain, two miles east of Grantsville. The Old Stone House now belongs to D. T. Kuykendall. (See Braddock Road Series, No. 17)
