The Locust Lodge in this photo was located on U.S. Rt. 40 in Middlebourne, Guernsey County, OH. It was formerly the Hayes Tavern. It was not at St. Clairsville.

My Mother and Father met each other here in 1940. I was wondering if the building is still there. Would love to know if it still there and what it is being used for. The Churchmans owned it. It was a lodge . My mother was a maid and my father was a cook.

Yes, I would like to know the exact location of the Hays Tavern. My grandmother, Lillian Hays, I believe that was her father. So, I would like to visit the site if possible. Thank you.

I'm one of the original Churchmans who Lived in Locust Lodge from 1938 until 1944. I loved that time in my life until my mother and I moved to California. I had a wonderful life there and have a lot of fond memories of that time in my life.
