A first-hand account of McCarthy tactics within the University of California system. Stewart, along with many others, elected to not take an oath against Communism that was reqired for continued emplyment. This great little book counters all of the claims made against the objecting faculty and staff. Although Stewart claims the book was written by a committee, it is largely acknowledged that he was the only author.
