Colorado's famous cannibal Afred Packer (aka Alferd Packer) is buried in Littleton Cemetery. He was convicted of murdering his five colleagues, but was eventually released and pardoned. He eventually became a vegetarian and died quietly in Colorado.

Packer's memory lives on. In 1968, the University of Colorado at Boulder dubber the cafeteria the Alferd G. Packer Memorial Grill. Their slogan is Have a friend for lunch! Lake City, scene of Packer's infamous meal, has an annual Alferd Packer celebration.
