On the north side of the Old Cumberland Road, and about 90 feet from the Mount Nebo School Building - later known at the Steel House - the distinct trace of Braddock's Road is to be seen. A short distance from this point the road enters the wooded part of Wills Mountain. It is here that the real difficulties in the construction of the road began.
