Less than one mile west from the point at which Braddock's Road intersects with the National Road on Negro Mountain is the north fork of Spiker Run, a branch of the Castleman River., on the eastern slope of Negro Mountain. Less than one mile east is The Oak Grove or Menonite Church. The photo shows a very distinct scar of the road.
