John Kennedy Lacock Braddock Road Postcard No. 48: Fording of Jacob's Creek, Bridgeport, Pa.

1908

Bridgeport, PA

Caption:

The crossing of Jacob's Creek was a short distance above Pershing Station on the Scottdale Branch of the P.R.R. near a point where Weichbanse's mill formerly stood. The fording of the creek was well chosen by reason of the great swamp which extends for several miles along Jacob's Creek. The fourteenth encampment, or rather the bivouac, - the 'Great Swamp,' was on the east side of Jacob's Creek.

John Kennedy Lacock Braddock Road Postcard #48: Fording of Jacob's Creek, Bridgeport, Pa. Note that the woman and boy have been pasted into this scene (see the B&W photo below). On top of being pasted in they are way too small!
