Ebenezer Zane Log Cabin (site)

7th Alley
Wheeling, WV 26003

Constructed in 1769 by Ebenezer Zane, it was the first building in Wheeling. For a while it was used as a powder house for Fort Henry. It remained in place until 1908 when it was torn down. A retail shop was built on its site and for a while operated as a dairy store and a shoe store.
