Caption:

The army crossed the Youghiogheny below Connelsville, a little to the north of the mouth of Opossum Creek to a point on the opposite side of the river near the mouth of Mounts Creek. The fording of the river on June 30, 1755, was about 200 yards broad and about three feet deep.
